Fourth fight! Video/Action from Ecruteak

[A shivering Misaki is sitting on a bench with her Vulpix on her lap and her Swablu on her head. Looking at the Gear she tries to keep her teeth from chattering.]

Is it supposed to get this cold?

[She almost turns off the Gear before she remembers something.]

Oh! How old do you have to be to get a job?

[ Miyuki's cozy warm on a couch, Jolteon beside her. ]

Dude, I hear there's blizzards and stuff here.

And you can get a job when you're ten! Well, I'm ten and they let me work at the Pokémart. But you can't work full-time until you're, like... twenty.

[Shudders when the other girl says blizzards.]

I've never seen a blizzard before.

[There's a look of relief when Miyuki brings up jobs.]

That's good to hear! I wasn't really sure how to get money here.

[ She shrugs. ] Me, either.

But work at the Pokémart is super-easy, too. I just carried boxes and put stuff on the shelves, basically. [ She brightens a little. ] I bet since you're older, they'd let you, like, work the cash register or something!

Oh! I bet I can do that. Is the Pokémart the only place you can work?

Nah. You can get jobs at the Center taking care of, like, sick and hurt Pokémon, or just being a paper-pusher or whatever. And I'm pretty sure you can work other places, like the stores and cafés and stuff.

[The Vulpix yawns and Misaki pets his head.]

How are you Chitose-san?

I'm good! Gonna hang in Goldenrod 'til spring. Or 'til after New Year's, if I'm bored by then, hehehe. Guess I should get a job here, now that I think about it. Maybe I can work at the Department Store!

Staying put in this weather seems like a good idea. Working at a department store sounds fun!

Yeah! I bet you get discounts or whatever. And the Department Store is where they sell all the good stuff, like, TMs and crap.

Really? That would be so cool! That's in Goldenrod right?

Yep! And Celadon City over in Kanto.

I think Johto might be a world that actually has winter. I do wonder how long their winter lasts. You should make sure to bundle up better before you go outside.

[The poor girl does look so cold. ]

I am afraid I don't know how old you have to be in order to get a job here in Johto but I would think you would be able to. I can't imagine they would expect you to get by without one.

I need to buy a coat but I wasn't sure if I had enough money...

[Looking a little defeated but then brightens.]

That's a good point!

I see. If you need a little help with that I could loan you a little. The cold really wasn't something we were warned about in time to plan for and you really shouldn't be left without a coat.

[Blinks before shaking her head.]

I couldn't ask you to do that! I don't even know your name!

My name is Eagle Vision. I'm sorry if I seemed forward in suggesting something like that, I just don't like the idea of a young lady not having a warm coat when it is this cold outside.

[Bows her head at the camera.]

It's nice to meet you Vision-san!

[She waves one hand.]

It's okay! I can buy one. I just wanted to make sure I could replace the money.

You can just call me Eagle.

Oh good! I'm glad that is the case. All you would have to do is look for a job or with a few Pokemon battles. The trainers you defeat will give you money if you win.

[Nods.]

Alright! I'll try to get a job then!

[Bows her head again.]

Good luck with the coat. I have heard it does snow a lot during these winter months.

[Nods in understanding.]

At least snow is pretty?

Yes it certainly is. And you really can't make snow Pokemon without it!

Snow Pokemon? Like snowmen?

Just like that! Only... we built a Bulbasaur.

That sounds adorable! Even though I don't think I've seen a Bulbasaur before.

[The camera pans over to a rather grumpy looking Bulbasaur. ]

It was modeled after Geo's Bulbasaur... though I am not sure she really liked the idea.

[Stops petting her Vulpix for a second to wave at it.]

It's cute!

[The Bulbasaur kind of harrumphs and looks away. ]

She just likes to be difficult.

[Blinks.]

I didn't upset her did I?

No, you didn't. Don't worry about it. She is just always a bit standoffish.

Okay that's good. I don't want to upset anyone let alone their Pokemon.

I was told that it is going to get much colder, and that there will be much more snow.

[That's why she's hunkered down in Goldenrod and staying there for a GOOD LONG TIME]

I don't believe there's an age limit, though I know I'm only allowed to work so many hours a week. Are you looking for one?

Colder? Oh no...

[That's not what she wanted to hear.]

I don't have an allowance and I need to get money somehow. It's good that they don't have an age limit though!

That's what I said. It's freezing--already this much snow, too. [A woeful, exaggerated sigh.]

I find the Pokemon Centers are very fair about things. They're not very difficult, especially. Which is good, because I didn't have much experience before this.

Maybe winter will pass by quickly?

[Nods in understanding.]

I don't have any job experience so something easy would be good.

If you can, Misaki-san, you should do your best to stay inside.

There's also work in stores, which isn't very hard, either.

Yeah. I am going back inside soon. I thought it'd be fun for my Pokémon to play in the snow but they would rather stay by me.

[Blinking now.]

Really? That's good to hear!

I find my own Pokemon don't like the snow anymore than I do. Well... Junpei is fond of it, somewhat, but he's fond of everything.

Life isn't very hard, here, outside of the travel. It's easy to survive.

I'm not really sure why I thought they would like snow in the first place...

I'll have to get a job right away then! That will make living even easier!

Kinda depends on the job, I guess. Er, you got somethin' in mind?

I'm not sure really. I've never had a job before.

Hey, that's fine. Everyone's gotta start from somewhere, right?

That's true. I'll just have to practice to get better!
