First fight! Video from New Bark

[With a click the video feed starts showing a confused girl with what looks to be a cotton ball on her head. She flips it over in her hands a few times before pressing a button. The feed cuts out for a few moments only to come back.]

Ah! This is a really interesting machine don’t you think Aoko?

[The cotton ball chirps as Misaki looks down at her gear. It seems she hasn’t realized that it’s broadcasting yet.]

[Misaki might notice the Hoothoot that comes and lands on Fuu's shoulder at this point :>]

[She looks at the Hoothoot with wide eyes.]

[That's when her Swablu gets a little restless and flutters on Misaki's head.]

She's called a Hoothoot. She used to belong to a friend of mine, but she is with me for now.

[Nods carefully not to disturb Aoko too much.]

I dropped a ball earlier and she appeared! She wont leave me alone so I gave her a name.

[Fuu's so used to this concept. it's like it's obvious.]

[Misaki's mouth makes an "o" shape as she nods.]

Are we supposed to do something?

Well, it depends on what job you're assigned.

Job? What kind of job?

Well, there are trainers who are supposed to fight Pokemon in battles and competitions; there are breeders, who raise Pokemon and help breed them to have more, sometimes more advanced Pokemon--and there are Rockets, who are assigned to steal Pokemon and cause havoc.

Oh! The lady who said she was my mother said something about training. Does that mean I'm a trainer?

[Wait. Backtracking now.]

Steal Pokemon? Cause Havoc? Why would they do that?

It might. Did you by chance have an apron on your person, or a breeders' guide? If not, you're more than likely a trainer.

Team Rocket is a criminal syndicate operating, last I could tell, out of Mahogany and Goldenrod. I haven't quite figured out why they do it, but I was told they might have a hand in bringing us here.

[The Gear gets put down for a second so Misaki can rummage through her bag.]
